The Götz Saxophone Quartet

Nándor Götz - soprano sax.

Lászlo Kedl - alt sax.

Zoltán Szűcs - tenor sax.

Mihály Bajusznács - bariton sax.

was founded in 2000 by leading Hungarian saxophone artists who consider it important to compile their repertoire from their own compositions and transcriptions. Since then, they have performed at hundreds of concerts, live radio concerts, and festivals. Among their foreign performances, the Japanese tour in 2006 was outstanding. The classical and jazz genres appear separately and often together in their music. Their transcripts deal with the most significant works of both styles, but they also consider it important to search for masterpieces that have been unfairly neglected over time. Nándor Götz and Zoltán Szűcs compose their own compositions, which are featured in every concert

Most significant arrangements: J. S. Bach: Italian Concerto, Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition, Gershwin: An American in Paris, Bernstein: West Side Story, jazz evergreens: Duke Ellington: Caravan, Solitude, Dizzy Guillespie: A night in Tunisia, Dave Brubeck: Blue Rondo alla Turk and many more.

Own compositions: Nándor Götz: Hokethus - eight movement for saxophone quartet, Zoltán Szűcs: Eine kleine jazz Musik

They often perform with guest artists such as Krisztina Pocsai - vocals, Micheller Myrtill, Tibor Pintér voice guitar, Béla Szakcsi Lakatos - jazz piano, Ogata Daisuka - piano
